A Thoughtful Evolution of a Historic Adirondack Camp
Situated along the shores of Upper St. Regis Lake, Camp Rendezvous is a historic Adirondack family compound where traditional camp architecture and exceptional craftsmanship come together. This extensive project included the complete reconstruction of the property's iconic two-story boathouse on its original footprint, requiring careful planning and execution to comply with Adirondack Park Agency regulations while maintaining the character of the original structure. The rebuilt boathouse features a spectacular second-story gathering space with exposed timber beams, rich wood finishes, distinctive diamond-pane windows, and panoramic lake views. Two new custom cottages were also constructed to complement the existing camp, incorporating traditional Adirondack architectural details, intricate woodwork, vaulted ceilings, and natural materials throughout. From the carefully crafted interior finishes to the stonework, exterior detailing, and waterfront construction, the project showcases the specialized skills and attention to detail required to build within one of the Adirondacks' most treasured lakefront settings.
